My last two. However, one of these is a straight clue, and the other needs to be manipulated for grid entry. Therefore whichever one is the latter, please ignore the letters I quote as these will not apply. The letters are only correct for the straight clue.

I was thinking "Nile" was the Eternal River, but the answer cannot be Nile, as the manipulation does not fit the grid!

31 ‘Snug’ is, perhaps, the message about sweetheart being treated after an accident in Chicago? (6) _ O _ N _ R
(If I had to hazard a guess, I think this is more likely to be the straight clue)

Danny, those letters would only have been correct if 4d was the straight clue. It isn't - It is the one that needed to be "encoded" for grid entry. BUT, after it is encoded - it fits!
