But the parable talks of the old woman who had one coin in her purse, and gave it away to 'the poor'.

I know an elderly couple who give away about 35 percent of their net income, to charity, to poorer relations, to others. They say they don't need it, and have no need of any more material possessions.

I did some charity work for Mencap more than 30 yrs ago and this included me contacting about 200 companies for a donation, most of them didnt reply,about 10 gave me about a fiver, 1 gave me 100 cans of red bull, and 5 gave me about 200 quid in total. So you can see why i was a little suspicious about this mans generosity.
