See Boris has finally dropped his "Australian type deal" Brexit phrase now that people are aware no such deal exists.
We are now going for WTO deal which is also in effect no deal!

Also we now have the much repeated phrase "our friends across the channel". There are none as far as I can see.

“Australian type deal” was an outrageous piece of spin.
I decided to follow suit by referring to the “Australian style family Christmas” that many will be having.
And it doesn’t in fact involve barbies on the beach ...
He could yet be dead in a ditch though, bednobs.
wasn't it De Gaulle who kept us out the EEC for so long
a ditch is probably a good place to launch a moon shot from; less light pollution.
i confess that passed me by jno
apart from the fact that we have been part of then EEC and then the EU doesn;t mean we were ever best buddies. They have been causing problems for the UK because we dared to leave.

I must admit I couldn't actually remember what Boris's moon shot was about, but apparently it was a test and trace programme. It was going to be a slam dunk too.

will give that a look see.
De Gaulle was right.
Moonshot is still a thing. It involves sending DIY tests to everyone every week.
The tests haven’t been approved yet
Not to be confused with 'mailshot'?
Of course such a deal exists. It's the default deal defined by the agreed WTO terms. And yes it means no better deal over & above that; but as Australia shows, nothing to get panicky about. Why do folk go on about it ?

Friends across the Channel is just the British being polite, as usual.
