That's a modern iron lung. They were used on polio patients
Just looking at that gives me claustrophobia!
We need all the help we can muster given that he at the helm has been totally incompetent.
woofy.......lol...lol.....absolutely.
Nothing new! Iron lungs were first used in the 1920s. All they have done is made them smaller and less formidable looking.

same principle woofgang but a modern version, slight difference wouldn't you say:

still don't let that stop you belittling the effort. I did wonder how long it would take the anti British to chime in, didn't expect answer no 1 so you must be very proud.

Most things we take for granted are based on an old principle, doesn't mean advancement is invalid. Well it does if you are anti British I suppose.
Almost everything can be improved on, with advances in materials.
Anti British??? No! more accurate. Why would it be anti British to actually point out the truth of the matter?!
If TTT labels one as Anti-British, then that is what you are and you are stuck with it.
Question Author
It's not the truth though is it mally? It's virtually everything that is "invented" is based on a known principle and there are older versions before. eg the computer you are using is basically the same as the early ones that were room sized and a squillionth of the power. Do we deride all the advancements in between, of source not. This iron lung is a word away from the ones that used to encase the whole body, it takes advancements to achieve that. Any excuse to belittle anything we do.
Geez, here we go . ‘ anti British ‘ .
I think it's great. They are acknowledging they were based on the iron lung, but cheaper and modernised.
ok then blame Sky....the makers haven't "designed a new ventilator" they have redesigned an old one. They aren't the only ones on the market either and before TTT starts yelping, this is a British firm too https://www.hayekmedical.com/?gclid=CjwKCAiAxp-ABhALEiwAXm6IyWiCXpaPN9bxGBSSwC6OBBb35AJ5K0HvOnMBLmjMEbgMwyTFylpQDhoCQnMQAvD_BwE
Probably, woof. Even this link says //Chief executive Ian Joesbury called it a "cutting-edge reinvention of pre-existing technology".//

But the first report i saw was from the Daily Mail, where they spell it out a bit more:-)
If ttt labels me anti British IMO it says far more about him than me. Just think name calling should be left behind after infant school. Sad to think that a few adults still think it is an appropriate response to another person.
