Working out at a half a billion pounds per week , I'm sure that's the figure mentioned, no doubt Im open to be corrected on that ,
That's an awful lot of money with our economy shot right now
The report mentions the payments could be as high as £453 million a week. Dividing that by £500 gives a figure of 906,000 each week, meaning 129,429 folk testing positive each day.
The highest UK daily figure so far was 68,053 earlier this month and yesterday's was 37,892 new cases in the UK.
As the proposed payments are for those only in England, the figure for the daily cases and the weekly bill would be even lower.
Thanks thecorbyloon, altho maybe there allowing for the fact that more who think theyve got it but keep quiet and carry on will come forward for testing
sadly emmie a friend who works in a school told me quite a few children were delibrately trying to catch it off freinds hoping to get 2 weeks off before christmas and knowing noone had been seriously ill.
emmie- if loads of adults arent listening then its not suprising if some children see it all as a laugh.
Heard last night on the radio that over half the BAME population is going to refuse the vaccinne so it shows how people all see it diffrently
which is what i have been saying all along, that many will refuse it - that you can't force it on anyone. that this is going to stretch out to the end of this year, no matter how much the government dole out.
