Yes, the vaccine manufacturers are failing to deliver, to everyone. Everyone is frustrated, not just the EU - except those who haven't the capacity to use more than they receive and perhaps not even that.
The AstraZeneca vaccine has not yet been approved in the EU so it will have no effect at the moment in the EU.

Unfortunately the UK is highly reliant on the AZ vaccine, so if they do have a production problem, it is more likely to affect us.
Oh you spoilsport, Sunk.... :-)
Roy,

The AstraZeneca is not yet approved in the EU, so of course EU countries (such as Ireland) cannot use it yet. They can order it, and many have, which is why a manufacturing delay is of concern.

The DublinLive article makes no sense. The AZ vaccine is made in the EU, so banning its use because of Brexit is false news. AZ is half Swedish with manufacture of the vaccine now underway in the Netherlands and Germany (UK production hasn’t started yet). So, contrary to the DublinLive lies, ireland CAN get the vaccine from Europe when it is approved and when the problem has been sorted out.
And Ireland cannot import UK made vaccine, not because of Brexit, but because we haven’t made any yet.
