they need to, to catch up with the rest of the country, especially in London, where there is a marked lack of take up from the black community.

It certainly can't hurt to try - and good for them for doing it - but I think fears and superstitions would probably be better allayed by their Imams and preachers, some of whom have already been encouraging their 'flocks' to take up the offer.

looks like when you read down, Romesh had trouble with persuading his own mum, who is a key worker to take up the vaccine. lets hope she does, or has.

Well, anything is worth trying. I only know about 'closed' communities in Bradford etc., but I can't see the message getting through 100% there. I call them 'closed' because the majority, as I knew them, never really stirred outside and the youngsters who spoke English etc., were still 'of the Community' and messages tended to get stonewalled.
