This won’t be popular, but it’s actually rather disgrace that this person and many others have been dumped by the UK: out of the reach of justice, of civilisation, potentially creating a whole new forgotten (for now) generation of terrorists - aside from the humanitarian angle.
Even the Trump administration thought it was questionable, which should tell you something
Probably because they conspired to commit treason to the country that gave them freedom and they repaid that freedom with barbaric acts to their own people, none should be allowed to set foot again on British soil, they gave up that right and if Mr Blair hadn't revoked parts of the Treason Law when he did, perhaps there would no high court appeal today and let's face it, Blair and his Barrister wife Cherie had a vested interested in this , called money
Treason is where a citizen of a country plots against the state.
So therefore bring such a case to justice in that country.
Removing citizenship negates the treason aspect, apart from anything else.
Some people do terrible things when they are young, but they can change, let her back, assess her properly then either punish her appropriately or rehabilitate her if she understands and wants to be part of society. I'm no snowflake but she was so young when she left. Different if she had been an adult at the time.
She gained full criminal responsibility for herself when she became 14 years old so let her find another country because she clearly did not want to live in this one so we need to stop making excuses for her
It's interesting, isn't it.
Should unelected Judges have the power to overturn Gov. policy?
Lord Panic sounds frightfully expensive. Dare say he has a bag carrier or two that want paying. Is he working pro bono, does anyone know?
I'd bet my life the Gov. Lawyers ain't.
Who initiated, and possibly financed the case. Again, anyone know?
I suspect Bobbi's right. Tony Blair's Benevolent Society for Lawyers will have a sticky finger in this, begum.
No concessions to anyone involved in terrorism. The British public should not be put at risk for the sake of people like her. Keeping her out will, not least, send a message to anyone else thinking of following a similar path. Bet she'll be let back though, soft touch that this country is.
If she does come back perhaps the government should give her a council house up here in Scotland.Perhaps up in Coatbridge or Airdrie, the residents there are partial to a terrorist or two, plus she would find that living there wasnt much different to living in a squalid cess-pit of a prison out in Iraq!
The virtue-signallers will tell you she was too young, at 15, to know what she was doing. They could be right.
I'd take their opinions more seriously if they stopped advocating voting rights for children and insisting the v young 'know' which sex they are.
ich: "This won’t be popular, but it’s actually rather disgrace that this person and many others have been dumped by the UK" - She leaves the country to support terrorism, THAT's a disgrace! Gawd elp us ich you're having a turkish!
If by any chance she wins her appeal and is then arrested what can she be charged with? She has not per se commited an act of terrorism. I think that this could be very interesting.
