Gets a letter saying this and that going up which amounts to a rise of £6 a month, I rang to tell them I'm not paying and extra £2 for Sky talk anytime extra ( whatever that means) I'll keep my landline but just have it for incoming calls only and I'll use my mobile for outgoing calls ,the cost is for when you pay £12 a month for up to 59 minutes, what the extra is I've no idea, anyway rang the number
" we're sorry we are experiencing technical problems right now and can't deal with your call "
Same online
How very convenient !!
Just got through Hoppy, I'm still locked in a 'deal' till the end of April so the increase won't effect me till then although I will ring them then , I did have a free Netflix deal which I hadn't realised had stopped, we rarely use it so I got that taken off also HD , I'll be honest , I can not tell the difference ,so I've mangel a tenner saving till the end of April...at least
I was looking at Sky offers today when the £43 a month deal caught my eye. Phone lines/broadband/sky tv box / Netflix.
Currently pay £45 a month for BT broadband plus Netflix.
Have FreeSat box.
However reading small print , sky is a 18 month tie in and they can increase price during this period. So nothing to stop them increasing the £43 a month deal by £10 a month after say 6 months and you stuck with them for the duration of contract.
Sirrandyraven, everyone in a contract has the right to cancel if the price is increased
"If the price has gone up
Your provider has to give you 30 days’ notice if they’re putting up the price of your contract. You have the legal right to cancel the contract within those 30 days without having to pay a fee. Contact the company and say you’re cancelling within the allowed 30 days’ notice of a price increase."

Bobbisox1, during a previous conversation I had with Sky, I discovered that I was paying extra for children's channels that I never watched.
The Sky lady suggested to me to cancel these channels and that would lower my monthly payment.
I have found Sky very helpful and easy to deal with.
