Yes, Covid has booked a holiday to go away on the 20th June so time to get conga-ready. Comes back mid-July, so be quick.
April 12 for pubs to reopen it was announced last month, all being well, with alcohol allowed to be bought to drink outside in May - all being well.

Spoons are opening 394 pubs on April 12, one assumes the ones with outdoor areas.
Think you'll find that all the dates given were subject to the rule, "No earlier than". Therefore, pubs re-opening on 21 June is not a given.

If your talking England wheres that date come from? The article doesnt say that for pubs.

Am sure it was 17th May for pubs indoors, earlier for outdoors.
Isnt the 21st June date for removal of any other restrictions

I thought they were able to open inside from the 17th May. Think the 21st June was the date they hope to lift all restrictions.
pubs are open indoors no earlier than 17th May, rule of 6 etc
Apart from real ale enthusiasts I cannot see many people queueing up at pubs to buy drinks to consume at home when there are plenty of cheaper alternatives available at supermarkets.
Don't know why they can't open earlier indoors with table service like they did before, it worked quite well.
yes dave and as the hospitality sector keep saying there is very little evidence that the virus is spread in boozers anyway.

Some pubs organised table service well indoors but some didnt and it was just like the old days in pubs with ordering at the bar and people standing chatting and wandering between table's

There;s been a few times this last week when people sat in there gardens in shorts eating and drinking, and picknics in the parks, so pubs would of done well
There are loads of pubs letting in customers through the back door.

why would pubs have done well Bobb.
our hostelries are not open for business as yet. you can't get a takeaway beer, and besides which supermarkets have no doubt been the winners in all this.
