An NHS worker, deeply upset, went on to Facebook after a 12-hour shift during which he had watched seven people die of the Covid-19 pandemic, and urged people to respect restrictions. Because in his passion he resorted to somewhat colourful language, a snowflake complained and the guy was suspended from his job. You couldn't make it up.

I hope the snowflake is happy about reducing the already-stretched NHS further. And the NHS authorities who reacted so stupidly. Blood on their hands.

I support you, canary
Seen and not heard is the best policy.

Everyone's an expert all of a sudden.
the rules on confidentiality are very strict
Much stricter than data protection
Shree Blair threatened to "do" Lord Winston when he let on she was preggers and Shri was being coy, as an enceinte lady may be. She was and she didnt. ( work it out)

the punters know this: - and yes I agree the punishers and finger pointers parade around and ask: "arent I good, I have just fired a worker that we badly need, can I have a pay rise?"
The finger pointer never seems to turn up and put in a shift tho.

and used I to give advice like - you cant print this they will fire you ?
yup

I thought the defence would get up and run : " the demented patients WOULD have given consent if they had been able - because I was acting in their interests and not against them"
this was not tried and Pink was struck off

the anonymous complainant was probably one of the families who were embarassed because they werent looking after them themselves

What is his ‘ real’ job title ?
Snowflakes would melt on the factory shop floor !
When something similar happened on here to an NHS worker ... no one batted an eyelid. He was hounded off the site.
Togo - a guy from Wales?
That isn't true, a lot more than eyelids were batted about that disgraceful treatment but he had made his decision to go.
Rubbish Togo. Canary, it's really difficult to tell, without seeing everything he wrote. Swear words by themselves are unlikely to be enough to sack someone. But he does appear to be suggesting patients shouldn't be c-words, and there can be a fine line between advice and bullying.
It's impossible to see what really happened from that link alone.
You were doing OK until you got this this, Canary:

"Blood on their hands."

Abject nonsensical language.
I haven't seen all that Gary Oldershaw wrote or said - sadly there are professional complainers out there.
There are, mamya... and if it really was just because he swore, it seems a huge overreaction. I'm always a little cynical about how snd what the media report, because they do it for their own reasons. And I can't find much else online. Hopefully, it was looked into properly and was about attitude rather than vocabulary. I hope.
I suppose the golden rule is: What happens at work stays at work. Whistleblowers are on a hiding to nothing.
I have seen fit, young people die in my arms.

"When I first got suspended I was doubting my own ability, I thought maybe I put a patient in danger or someone died on my watch.

Er...
As we don't know what was said, we can't judge.
Did anyone die on his watch or not?
He does come across as entitled and arrogant. Yes, we need more NHS staff- but we need quality, not just quantity.
The more I come across people advocating woke and snowflake tendencies the less, and very much less, attractive I find them.
