Within 24 hours of ITV getting in touch with Croydon Council, the two people interviewed by News At Ten were moved into a hotel. An independent expert reckoned they were in danger of being electrocuted. There was just one room in the woman's flat that wasn't affected - a bedroom - so she and her two kids virtually lived in that one room - eating, sleeping, playing.
The guy who was interviewed had 4 buckets to collect the water - that Croydon Council said wasn't dripping - that dripped from his ceiling. He emptied these buckets every 6 hours.
