OK. Well I would go as far as to say for at least five years - probably a lot longer. The vaccination programme is now inviting those over 50 for a shot. The majority of those over 60 who are going to take the vaccine should now have received one shot, many have received two. More than 91% of the Covid deaths have been people over 60. These restrictions cannot be allowed to remain until all risk is eliminated (if for no other reason because that will never happen).

//...so people will be stuck in the UK for the foreceeable future, is that what you are saying NJ?//
No emmie. I'm saying that these restrictions should be lifted as early as is possible. But what seems to be happening now is that despite the risk of an outbreak that will overwhelm the NHS diminishing day by day, the government still seems intent on keeping them in place "just to be on the safe side." That is no justification for keeping in place measures which are probably the most severe this country has ever seen.

The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall are to travel to Greece next week for an official two-day visit at the request of the Government, Clarence House has announced.
During the visit, from March 24-25, Charles and Camilla will attend the Bicentenary Independence Day celebrations in Athens, following an invitation from Greece's prime minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

I don’t consider that people who want a holiday abroad are selfish, why are they selfish? They just want that two of three weeks year in the sun that they’ve worked all year for.
I do however think they’re foolish for thinking they’ll be able to do it, which is a shame.
Personally, I wouldn’t consider booking a foreign holiday this year or next.
I have very close family abroad who I’ve not seen since December 2019, and doubt I’ll see again until at the earliest the end of this year, maybe even next year.
That’s the way it is, we all have to get used to it, sad and difficult as it is :/
I don’t consider the laws/restrictions harsh, I consider it necessary.

//Meanwhile Charles and Camilla jet of to Greece, wonder who will pay their fine.//
Nobody. There are twelve categories of people who are exempt from the foreign travel ban. Among these are:
- a representative at an international or United Kingdom conference who is granted privileges and immunities in the United Kingdom,
There are eleven others into one of which I’m sure the Prince of Wales and his wife will fit, so don’t be silly.
