I fly a fair bit - correction - I did fly a fair bit before the world went mad, usually at least half a dozen times a year, and I cannot remember the last time my passport wasn't scanned at each end, whether it be by somebody in a booth or self-service, so I think TTT is right.
Isn't there a review into vaccine passports? Why has Bozza started talking about them now? Did he just feel the need to jabber away when it might come to nothing? Does he never learn?
He's started talking about them because 'A government review into the possible use of coronavirus passports or status certificates to allow people to visit pubs and other venues is taking place under the plans to ease England's lockdown.'
emmie: "i can't see this working at all. too complex and more people won't necessarily have a mobile phone. " - it's not complex and a phone won't be needed.
i read this from the beginning, my hairdressers have a QR code on their door, and still he lets people in without signing in. at least he did before the current lockdown.
TTT if they are a requirement to do certain things then they're compulsory. For instance if I travel to certain countries I can get vaccinated against certain things, but I don't get checked if I have the vaccination or not, so they're not compulsory.

There are about eighteen countries which require a vaccination against Yellow Fever before entry is allowed. I imagine quite a few will insist on Covid vaccination.
Bluemoon: "TTT if they are a requirement to do certain things then they're compulsory." - no they are not, driving licenses are not compulsory but they are if you want to drive a car. Similarly you can choose not to have a vaccine and therefore choose not to go to places where a vaccine is required.
Ick "There’ll never be an internationally approved passport. That doesn’t really make sense" There already is. Passports vary but the current paper/biometric system is accepted world wide. That's why I keep saying I wish that the division would be made between something for international travel and something for use in England or the UK
ich: "Ick "There’ll never be an internationally approved passport. That doesn’t really make sense" " - what do you think the current passport system is?
