The Government should have a state of the art briefing room. Effective communication is crucial to a 21st century Government, so the idea is sound.

My reservation is retrofitting it into a 300 year old terraced house. This undoubtedly exaggerated the cost massively. The Briefing Room should be in Whitehall, where it would have easy access to all Government Departments and civil servants.
It should not be in the Prime Ministers back bedroom.
So, top marks for the idea, F- for the execution of it.

Maybe gulliver thinks the prime minister should stand on a box in Hyde Park explaining the latest data with the aid of handwritten flipchart answering questions from the press standing (socially distanced) in the grass making shorthand notes, and we should wait until the following week to watch the session on Pathe News or read the typed up report in the Daily Mirror

everyone knows who Boris is, he is unmistakable, as to the media centre, the backroom is where the action takes place, the screens, computer systems and modern tech, you obviously haven't been paying much attention gully
