Bbc American Shootings Coverage

does anyone else think the bbc coverage of shootings in america are of the top
as it has nothing what so ever to do with the uk, and it possibly stirs up the black
community here, in thinking we are like the usa, they dont show all the whites
who are shot everday or do they not count, i dont think it helps race relations here.

Even that seems to be just another opinion from a suit, seldom accurate and often disappointing.

It's a huge story in the US provoking riots.
Whatever you think of that.
Should the BBC, Sky, Channel 4 etc ignore it?

yes I think there is an element that tries to compare UK/US attitudes. Wrongly in my opinion.

It is a difficult one but it could be reported quickly and perhaps with balance: x number of white people killed today but the death of a black man causes riots. Something like that.

The problem I have always found with Sky, ITV and the BBC is reporting is often very 'dramatic' rather than the actual points.

I wonder if the US show our riots?

And what about the lockdown riots in Europe, are they being shown?

was not given so much coverage, we would not have had all the protest here and the statue pulldown and the graffiti on others and all the rest
of the pulaver blm etc, again we are not amerca.

It seems a very strange complaint. Maybe it does get too much coverage, but then so do lot of things.
I'd hate to think there was something saying: "Lets go easy on this as we don't want to upset people" :-)

No. I choose to look at the news from other parts , especially America. I’m sure if such items are uncomfortable for some, dont watch them. I don’t think pasta is the only American in Britain .
