The Party and PM's figures look good. Mid term you'd normally expect the opposition to be ahead, so what are Labour doing wrong?

I see that Max Headroom was in a wallpaper shop yesterday ... was he looking for a roll? Because he sure as hell hasn't got a role in politics. Charisma bypass to go with the excitement removal procedure. Anyone remember when Jeffrey Epstein "donated" thousands of dollars to decorate Bill Clinton's office in the White House? Not a peep from the marxists over...

It's a measure of the utter lack of effectiveness of Labour as an opposition party, that they have the gift of 'Wallpapergate" and they have utterly failed to capitalise on it.
Boris only has to bluff and dismiss, and he is extremely good at doing both, and Starmer remains unable to make anything stick, even his photoshoot handling rolls of wallpaper has competely backfired and made him look even more stupid.
If the Labour Party can't do any better with a gift like this, it does not auger well for their future as anything approaching a believeable and electable party for the future.

TTT - // AH: "If the Labour Party can't do any better with a gift like this, it does not auger well for their future as anything approaching a believeable and electable party for the future." - so (sorry) they have to do something with their approach? //
No need to apologise, no breaking of the 'So Rule' there!!! (LOL!)
In my view they should be seriously worried because they have clearly follwed their default position of choosing party leaders who couldn't win an elecetcion if they were the only candidate!
Foot, Kinnock, Milliband, Corbyn, and now Starmer, and there isn't an ounce of personality or political weight in any of them.
Why is it so hard for Labour to look at the way the Conservatives do things, and follow their example?
Boris may not be everyone's choice, but he has depth of personality, and clear ability in terms of easily winning Dispatch Box exchanges.
Starmer has less than no idea of how party politics works, he needs to hang on until Labour can field a viable candidate, and step down before the next election.
They let Corbyn hang on, and look how that ended up!!

AH: "Why is it so hard for Labour to look at the way the Conservatives do things, and follow their example?" - they did once and it worked pretty well." Labour need to realise that Real Labour is not what the public will ever elect and proceed from there.
"Boris may not be everyone's choice, but he has depth of personality, and clear ability in terms of easily winning Dispatch Box exchanges." - yes and the shortcomings are no where near enough to persuade the voters away. Labour think that everyone supports their pro terrorist anti British views, they don't.

I don't even think you can credit Labour with offering anything for the electorate to disagree with!
There is nothing there, no policies, no persoanlities, no plan, and absolutely no opposition, with a small or a large 'o'.

what I find remarkable is that I am a huge fan and supporter of our third greatest ever PM, Clement Atlee, he created our Welfare state and the envy of the world, the NHS, I am just honoured to live in one of the few civilised nations when it comes to healthcare, yet I regularly get attacked by left wingers because I dare to attack the the barbarity of the rest of the world, especially the US.
Why does TTT keep insiting that the NHS is the envy of the world ? It's not. I have never read or heard anyone in Spain envying the NHS. We have a perfectly good one here, as does Germany, France, Italy, Switzerland etc.etc.etc. even Japan. Maybe he's refering to third world countries and the US ? I reckon they envy any country that has a health service.
