Such things probably were said at a very fraught time when no one really knew what to do for the best. I don't know what Cummings hopes to achieve with these disclosures - who would risk employing him in future?
I dont understand why he kept Hancock on and thats the real problem. Boris is not a leader unfortunately. He did (sort of) get us out of the EU which was his forte, but after he should have moved on so a proper Tory could pick up the baton and drive the Country forward to prosperity.
But now thinking about it - this might explain why Johnson didn’t sack Cummings over Bernard Castle. At the time a lot of mates were asking what he had over him.
//I don't know what Cummings hopes to achieve with these disclosures - who would risk employing him in future?//
He hopes to bring down Johnson, or probably more specifically "Princess nut nuts"
Perhaps he doenst need employment, although I'm sure there are those that would employ him for certain tasks. Hancock on the other hand is totally unemployable.
Who would want to be in charge of the NHS at ANY time let alone during pandemic ?
The NHS is the killing ground for ANY aspiring Politician nobody, of either persuasion has made his name being the Secretary of Health.
Hancock has been no better or worse than any past holder of that post given the situation.
Yes, ineptududes have been a part of his curriculum vitae, but for his arguably pitiful salary, I wouldn't entertain the position.
sqad: "The NHS is the killing ground for ANY aspiring Politician nobody, of either persuasion has made his name being the Secretary of Health." - I think a certain Mr Bevan might not agree with that!
//But you can't accuse him of not getting PPE then slate him for going to suppliers where he knew he could get it!//
There were plenty of people offering their service, the Government ignored them. And they were people with experience not a pub Landlord. I remember the furore and exasperation being expressed at the time.
