People who kill people don;t do it because they are religious, they do it because they are unbalanced mentally - any link to religion is either a cloak offered by the psychopath for his actions, or a pointless and utterly untrue link created by people to prop up their igonorant bigotry.
Unlike mamya, I can answer your question.

"His condition had been noticed in recent months, including violent tendencies, and a few days ago he was put into compulsory psychiatric treatment," Herrmann said.
Later, he told public television that, according to one witness, the suspect had called "Allahu akbar", an Arabic phrase meaning "God is great" and often associated with acts of Islamist terrorism before starting his spree.
"That suggests a possible Islamist motive, and that is also part of the investigation," he added.

DTC - // So he is a Nazi then, andy, or leaning that way? As that is what you have described in not so many words..... //
It's been a while since the So Rule cropped up - but here it is again.
I am not saying he is a Nazi DTC - the clue is that the word 'Nazi' is absent from my post.
I am saying that he is psychotic - and he may like to dress up his homicidal urges under the disguise of being a Muslim, but the Koran should not be interpreted as advising adherents to go and murder strangers - that is not what Islam is about.

I agree on the loon comment, but lighten up as I was just bending your wires about the right wing....and it worked! I also agree on your comment that, de facto, 99.9% of Muslims are decent people, just as the Northern Irish are (and other zealots) until they become converts of 'God' in whatever format.

One of the main problems with written communication between people who are largely strangers, is the ease with which statements can be misinterpreted, for all sorts of reasons.
If you want to 'bend my wires' as you rather quaintly put it, a smiley or an explanation mark will indicate that you are not being serious, and then I won't reply as though you are, which will save time for both of us.
Glad you are in agreement about the tendency for most followers of any religion - barring ones that actually base their beliefs on harm to people - are perfectly peaceful human beings.
