If they were banned it would make life easier for the girls. Not so long ago a boy at a 'good school' here in NI was caught in the act trying to 'upskirt' a female teacher. if boys would do that to a teacher what would they try with girl pupils?

Too soon to speculate. When the FTPA is effectively repealed the next GE could be as late as Dec 2024.

It's the "Dissolution of Parliament Bill" which will have the effect of repealing the FTPA.

It is to be hoped that it will be repealed a.s.a.p. The only effect it has had thus far is to leave a government paralysed for two years after May's disatrous attempt to increase her majority, only to lose it.

ich: What wreckage? He's mid term, mid crises, just lost a minister and he still has a predicted 42 majority, should be getting hammered. Plenty of time to get back up to 80 and beyond, if Labour can't get their nose in front now they are never going to. Election will be May 2024.

ich, I see the problem, the FTPA is up to the May in the year 5 years from last time. That's to cater for the fact that general elections are often in May. Dec was very unusual.
