Yes helped by millions in govt subsidy.
I’d be backing Brexit - or at least, er, finally “remaining”, if I was having that sort of money tossed in my direction.
With a Conservative government finally behaving like a Labour one, small wonder Keir Starmer is cornered. That’s why it’s idiotic for Labour to think replacing him now will make a blind bit of difference
Northern Ireland is still suffering because of brexit
Khandro, you do seem to read some funny stuff! Do you ever actually read anything that is not right wing? Just to try to understand other people?
Tax payers money to help Nissan open a factory, millions and millions all for 1600 jobs, that's a real good investment. Not.
Project Fear told us Nissan would close the Sunderland plant.
Wonder what Branch of the "Con Crony Club" Nissan come under.
‘ Khandro, you do seem to read some funny stuff!’

Ain’t that the truth! Khandro gets his ‘facts’ from right wing / loony websites and 80s pop stars. His opinions are extreme to say the least.
Jobs in the North East won't make up for the business lost from The City.
Taxpayers money to help fund 1600 jobs, I would have thought that the Labour Party supporters would be all in favour. That's how thousands of pointless public sector jobs are financed , ie taxpayers money.
Guido Fawkes far right ... haha. This is a right wing site but most of the "readers comments" appear to tally with your perspective.

Atheist , I think once they have graduated from the Conservative College of Radicalisation, students are not allowed to read anything not right wing.
Every car factory in Europe, and probably worldwide has government grants to attract the investment. That's the way it works.

It's not a uniquely Tory thing, or uniquely British.

Remainers unite behind your flag of misplaced optimism. A brief historical based recap of what you are supporting (that is if you are still crackers).

What is now called the European Union began as an attempt to unify countries economically after WWII, but by stealth via the single market, Maastricht, the euro, & the top-hat of the Lisbon treaty, has become a full political union run by an unelected central dictatorship which at this moment threatens to end vetoes & intervene in the domestic affairs of its remaining hapless members whose policies on immigration, freedom of speech & civil rights it happens to disagree with.

Its grab for further centralised power now includes a court case claiming it has the right to directly take funds from the German state, which is hotly contested by the Germans (natch!) & could lead to its downfall, because without Germany there can be no future for the European Union.

Thank God for those who lead Britain out of this cess pool. Will someone please tell me why they wish the UK was still luxuriating in full membership.

Something we couldn't do whilst in the EU. Look at the steel problems under DC.
