YMB - // Nonsense. The 'vaccines' dont stop you getting it they just make the body able to cope with it. //

I know how vaccinations work thank you.

//Since most people receiving vaccinations are in the age groups that the body can cope with Covid anyway I dont really see the justification of your statement. //

The point is, because people can 'cope' with the virus does not mean it is desireable that they should have to do so.

Speaking as someone who has had Covid, I put no burden on the NHS, nor my employer since I am retired, but I did spend four days in bed unable to move except for essential bathroom visits, relying on family to feed me.

That's not a good experience for anyone at any age, so if we can reduce the numbers of people who do experience it by continuing to vaccinate in advance of the lapse of restrictions, I would see that as a good idea.
Also there are many people awaiting 2and jab who are not 'fully proteccted and it takes 3 weeks to be effective.
Youngmafbog , not only does the vaccine reduce risk of serious illness your also less likely to pass it on. More passing on means more cases and more variants. Every week we delay we can increase protection via jabs for 2-3 million more.
Schools close soon so they will help athlete a big vector as well as teenagers and 20s/30s drinking and losing inhibitions and passing it on
Athlete should say 'as they are'
and if (God forbid) England should lose ... what are the Covid regulations regarding funerals and wakes at present?
But going to the pub normally entails a drink, perhaps a meal and a nice chat. How can it be normal to be surrounded by people shouting and cheering at a football match on the telly?

One of the worst thing that ever happened to pubs was the screening of football matches. It ruins the pub entirely for some time before and after the match and makes the environment unbearable for anybody not involved in the match. Football should be watched either in the stadium or at home in the comfort of your own home.
I'd say the opposite. The last thing we want, realistically, when the pubs open, is for three quarters of the population to turn up at the same time on the same day and get drunk lol. I would have thought, the government would have waited until after the finals- if anything.
