Covid New Cases 50,000 Per Day

We haven’t been told, as far as I can see, in what areas Covid is rising, and what age group. Is it mainly younger people who haven’t been vaccinated?

// no most of them will be vaccinated.//
nope - oh you mean most of the cabinet - yeah I think so by now hur hur hur
oh those getting covid - -nope. sozza to nope so much TTT - Naomi gets hydrphobia when I do that - very very low. No one has died if they had had the vaccine - from covid that is!
Failsworth - I am sure someone was asking about high areas - most of Manchester and to the North - Darwen and Blackburn
33% 19-25s have NOT had the vaccine - - naughty silly boys and girls unlike the reesh areas of Manchester - rich and old that is! - where 99% have and those that havent ( the 1% for those that cannot subtract from 100) are sort of dead on the day of calling sort of
I think I have answered everything innit?

Figure is running at 33% - sqad
BUT - - they were turned away up to a few days ago
AND as we have had before
"No I would not be vaccinated - because I think dog flu and climate change is more serious!
is different to "No I did not turn up as a decision when I was called"
The usual dichotomy ( I am allowed to use "dichotomy" because I am writing to Sqad who has more than O levels the standard hand-out amongst ABers) between what I do and what I say I do. Think Margt Thatcher voter - if everyone who said they hadnt voted for her, hadnt voted for her she would never have won diddly sqat)
and the marxist beebstas at the Beeb are always looking for two sides and a conflict - not because there is conflict out there but because people are more likely to watch

TTT,
Two jabs does not make you immune. You’ve been listening to PMQs too much when Boris just mumbles Vaccine Vaccine Vaccine to every sensible question.
Losing one Health Minister to Covid infection is unfortunate.
Losing TWO is just incompetence.
Unfortunately the next big lockdown is just 6 weeks down the road. Enjoy it now while you can.

TTT, above, is (not for the first time) concentrating on the possible number of deaths rather than the far more important figure of the number of people in hospital. From the point of view of the hospital administrators who have to allocate patients to beds in wards, it doesn't make one iota of difference as to whether a Covid patient is in hospital for a fortnight and then leave in a coffin or whether they're in hospital for a fortnight and go home to complete their recovery. In either case it's a bed taken up for a fortnight that might otherwise be used by someone requiring treatment for cancer or another urgent medical condition. If the number of people requiring hospital treatment for Covid is allowed to keep rising exponentially (irrespective of the outcomes of such treatments), virtually all other NHS treatments will come to a standstill.

gromit: "Two jabs does not make you immune." - where have I said it does? I have said dozens of times the vaccine makes it survivable that's all. It spends less time in the body as the immune system fights it off quicker. The number of cases is not largely irrelevant. In fact they should stop testing in most cases, all it does is highlight an irrelevance.
chico: "it doesn't make one iota of difference as to whether a Covid patient is in hospital for a fortnight and then leave in a coffin or whether they're in hospital for a fortnight and go home to complete their recovery." - no but it matters if they are out in 3 days rather than 2 weeks and do not need intubation/ICU.
the more people infected, the more opportunities for the virus to mutate (as Sqad has pointed out before), mening a greater risk the vaccines we have now may be less effective against new strains. (I believe this is already the case against the India strain; but it seems to be the South Africa strain that's kicking on at the moment.)
