Been to the supermarket and social distanced at the till? Went to M & S yesterday and we all stood apart until an lady employee told us we didn’t need to. We all laughed about it and came to the conclusion we had been brainwashed! We all wore masks in the store though.

an employee was still asking people in queues at M&S yesterday to space themselves out, though she wasn't insisting on 2 metres.
Yes

they watch the government's Covid broadcasts too, Ken. And they've paid Katie Hopkins to tell the world how harmless they are. Oooh, they're wily.
So far, I have just automatically put a mask on to go into shops, purely out of habit. Most others still seem to be as well, and I'm not sure if that's deliberate choice, or also just habit now.
Same with social distancing.
I went to our local Tesco this morning and social distanced at the till. I didn’t even think about it until I read your post. I’ve obviously got used to doing it.
I still do. Not because I'm brainwashed but because I want to minimise my chances of catching it especially with the current high infection rates.
Morrisons this morning, not too busy but just one elderly man without a mask. People at tils all seemed to keep their distance, I didn't need my cattle prod!!
With the rocketing rates, due to a super infectious variant, I would like to keep distancing please.
