I’m not really a party political person (I’ve never voted Tory and was a member of Labour Party for over 40 years before Corbyn) but who do Tory voters think would be the best replacement for Boris when he decides to go? I can’t help but think Gove has a Machiavellian aura about him but has he the intellect.
22.15, Deskdiary, I hate to be the one to tell you this , but Jermy Corbyn is not the leader of the Labour Party. nor has been for a long time . Perhaps you are getting a litle confused again.
Ric.ror, you're not really a party political person but you were a member of the Labour Party for 40 years. Really? I'm not sure where we go from there ..... but the Conservatives don't need a new leader.
Thank you for your answers. I just wondered who were considered the new leading lights in the Tory party. I have been impressed by Penny Mordant and Victoria Atkins but wondered if those watching more closely had noticed them
As for Boris - I can’t help but think he will move on sooner rather than later.
I think he might find the job boring once/if ever we get back to the boring day to day politics. I don’t think he’s one for the details either
Mind you I said the same about Trump
It really doesn't matter. They electorate will vote for whoever the party choose, because Labour is in such a mess at the moment. Until Labour sort their house out, the Tories have got a free pass.
Mozz - the problem with Labour is the leadership know that the electorate won’t vote for Corbyn policies yet the governing body and membership is crammed with Corbanistas
