The Rugby Union side based in Exeter have been known as the Exeter Chiefs for many years. They have now been forced to drop 'Chiefs' and their supporters banned from wearing the American Indian Head Dress. I am not too sure who they offended but once again the woke brigade have won and another tradition has ended. Long live freedom of expression!!

I find this sort of thing really sad. Common sense should dictate that no team would name itself after something it didn’t admire.

I wish, instead of casting their sour eye over everything and banning anything that doesn’t appeal to their own miserable nature, the PC brigade could see it for the accolade it truly was. I call them ‘Dementors’ - you know, the creatures in the Harry Potter books who suck all the joy out of life.

No they haven't. They still have their name and their American Indian logo. The only thing they dropped was their mascot.

As for "another tradition" blah blah blah, they changed their name to the Chiefs in 1999. Hardly a tradition.
