Johnson has once again refused to Isolate....(For ever I wish),,,after one of Boris's "Team Tour of Scotland"
Tested positive for Covid, although Boris had been seen standing shoulder to shoulder with the person and also both on the same RAF Voyager flight from Glasgow to Dundee Boris still refuses to Isolate.
Has Johnson got a Brain ?.

How can Jordain live with the fairies when they are all at the bottom of your garden?
"Of course he has a brain, which is why he has come to the conclusion that he did; that daily testing is more than sufficient."

That's fine but, "[t]he Downing Street spokesperson also refused to say if he had been tested since the positive case was discovered."

How can't he just have the tests to make sure he's okay?
In the early days of the pandemic Boris was pictured visiting hospitals, unmasked and shaking hands. Then he inevitably got it. He was very poorly. He modified his behaviour after that, wearing a mask in public, saying the right thing.
Once he was double jabbed he decided he was safe again. Then double jabbed Javid got Covid so the myth of invincibility was shattered.
Even if the possibility of the Prime Minister getting Covid for a second time is very remote, he should be setting an example.
Another case of the rules don’t apply to me because I am the Prime Minister.
I agree with others: it shows the opposite to his being stupid.
It’s interesting tho that they reckon fear of getting “pinged” has kept social contacts down and contributed to the first fall in cases in months.
The end of self isolation requirements tho cannot come soon enough
// they reckon fear of getting “pinged” has kept social contacts down and contributed to the first fall in cases in months. //

I see no evidence of that. The fall in cases has also coincided with the stopping of daily testing of school children.
The actual fall in cases relates to the ONS testing and is nothing to do with the daily figures for positive tests.
There is apparently evidence that social interaction actually fell post-so-called Freedom Day on July 19, though the reasons for that are as I say speculative
UK Covid cases have jumped from the beginning of the week (21,000) to the end of the week (31,000).
Gully ♥ Boris
Sounds like selective cherry picking of statistics there gromit
//LCG , Every time you open it .You put your foot in it.
Think it out before you post.//

If I had a clue what you were on about, perhaps I would respond. Having said that, any reply would be utterly wasted on you.

If Boris is acting stupid, reading this thread he's definitely not alone!

10.05, Not now you have joined the thread Naomi.
“ UK Covid cases have jumped from the beginning of the week (21,000) to the end of the week (31,000).”

Like I say, the ONS sponsored tests are not related to the daily stats for positive tests
Those figures have fluctuated.
The ONS study figures show an infection rate of 1 in 75 of the population, down from 1 in 65. Moreover they show a pronounced drop in infection rates among young people under 24.
These figures are not reliant on daily testing levels, so the absence of daily testing of school pupils is not relevant

I joined it yesterday, Gulliver. Keep up!

yup spot on

I am not sure why they are doing the 1 in 120 bit ( incidence - there is a time period involved) as they can be diffficult to interpret

r number is the exponent - - gtr than one: increases
less thn one: deecreases

Latest is that r is between 0.8 and 1.2 ( 50% tolerance)
but if numbers are falling then it HAS to be less than 1

The fluffy Beebsters dont understand it so they cant explain it to us.
I think they have been underestimating the r number ( milking it down) and so now it really is the low number they always said it was,
there is a cliff edge fall in cases and no real change 'detected' in the r number.
difficult concept I agree
15.25 yesterday- side splitter warning
That’s one word for him, LCG. ;o)

that - - you gormless gully why I wrote - referring to this entry

she contributed a few side splitting one liners - er -
"that is the word for him" ( you, Gully) springs to mind as a gut - buster

because if we compare the words we find they are identical
