Ipcc Report
Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change has issued its sixth report.
Summed up here…

Full report here…

Without large and rapid reductions in greenhouse gas emissions across the world, the 1.5c target will be breached.. extreme weather, more flooding, more wildfires and eventually rising sea levels…
What can be done to stop catastrophic climate change? We need to be at net zero by 2050 - quite a big ask unfortunately…

Climate change isn't like that. The scientific consensus is near unanimous and the evidence is strong enough to be undeniable.

If temperatures like those in Sicily are to become the norm in Europe will people still go there on holiday?

I'll keep saying this: Global Warming is natural. It isn't man-made. The Earth is still emerging from the last ice age and is warming up. The Sun is the only thing that determines the climate on the Earth. When the warming reaches it's peak, the Earth will then recede into another ice age. It's cyclic and has happened ever since the earth was formed.
The major concern should be directed at plastic pollution. A recent study by NASA showed that all samples taken from the ocean, all around the world, contained micro-beads, an ingredient of shower gel. That's just one aspect of plastic pollution. But I suppose it depends where there is most money to be made, climate change alarmism, or plastic prevention?

Untitled,
I read this comment concerning what the Report didn't say (as it couldn't say), which has a ring of truth to it:
~ “What the IPCC report didn’t say was that the only way humanity can address climate change is allow the collapse our global economy…” That’s a stark assessment, Jody, but I agree with it and I imagine most of the scientists who draft the IPCC report do too or at least recognize it’s likely to be the case. They can’t write that in the report though because it has to be signed off line by line by all UN member states, very few of whom trust their rivals to give up the financial and military advantages of a fossil-fuel-powered extraction economy at exactly the same time as they themselves do. ~
