Sad news. RIP Sarah.
gutted to hear this, she was so young rip Sarah
That's sad news to hear. As Lady CG has said, it's a cruel disease.
Rest in peace Sarah and condolences to family, friends and fans of hers.
I knew she was poorly, but hadn't heard much about how she was doing for a while. Very sad news and condolences to her family.
Just so sad. RIP Sarah
Very sad news indeed. RIP Sarah.
I don’t know her - but too young, poor girl.
So very sad - RIP Sarah

She wasn't that far off her 40th birthday. What a shame she couldn't make it to then. :-(
naomi, she was in the girl group Girls Aloud.
Oh that's sad, I hadn't heard for a while how she was getting on. Devastated for her and her family. Poor girl.
Oh thanks Barsel. That rang a bell. I’ve just looked her up and I do know her. She was on Celebrity Masterchef.
The Big one is always bad news in some shape or form, wish we could understand it more especially when it takes those so young.
According to Cancer Research UK there are more than 450 cancer deaths per day. I feel for Sarah's mother and family to lose her at such a young age. But I do not buy into the "what a shame she couldn't make it to her 40th birthday" idea. Why would it make her death any better or easier to accept?

I have nursed more than one close family member with terminal cancer and I would not have wished them to live a single day longer, for their pain, suffering and tiredness to carry on fighting was all too plain to see.

Sad as it is, Sarah's untimely death is just one of many.
May she rest in peace.

Because it might have been a milestone she wanted to reach.

What a odd comment.

I worked in Oncology for several years and often heard patients say they wanted live long enough to reach a certain milestone.
Did you nurse or care for the patients with terminal cancer?
Question Author
What's that got to do with anything? I was their first point of contact and the one they often unburdened all their anxieties on.

Also I too have nursed family members with terminal disease and lost young friends too.

You picking holes in my posts...is this going to become a regular thing now?

It hasn't gone unnoticed who you're chummy with on this site.
I merely responded to your post - I thought that was the idea of threads, and had no desire to pick holes in it. However, I didn't agree with what you said and that may happen again. I am entitled to my view as you are yours. If there is a difference of opinion, so be it.

There is no need to get angsty about it. I am happy to get on with most people on AB :)
