Why Are We Still Having Daily Covid Briefings Etc?

Covid is approximately no 9 on the list of things we die of every day, so why are they not reporting states on the Top ones rather than still banging on about Covid?

Time to just suck it up and get on with it and accept that we have to live with it for the foreseeable future? Why are we feeding the jobsworth types that are loving this? Not to mention trashing the economy for no good reason.

Figures are alot higher now for covid than they were in June so we ma find its back in the top 5 , but these lists are missleading as some cattegorys are vague and group together several thing's whereas covid is clearly defined. For example what does number 8 mean-"Symptoms signs and ill-defined conditions".
Another point though is that we can still do things to reduce covid spread by vaccinnes, distancing, etc whereas theres not much we can do to stop alzheimers/dementia or heart disease
