oops you are not talking about the generals are you?

OK (trying) to take this seriously - Johnson or was it Nixon made the generals sign a document saying they would not lose Khe Sanh (*) - just in case I suppose someone's memory slipped
when Biden asked what Trumps plan to evacuate ( as he had planned and announced) the generals said - - there isnt one
and yeah go wiv minimal deaths
seems sensible.
and as for a general ringing chinee man and saying
"the president is quite mad. Dont nuke us as we transfer power to the new fella in the Great American Way" (Jan 6th that is!) I can well believe it
(*) Kay Foo ! is that a no 120 at my local chinese? and does it come wiv rice

TTT //yes leaving Afghanistan was the right thing,//
Leaving was not an issue, it was the absolutely chaotic manner in which it was done. Removing troops BEFORE civilians was the act of an imbecile causing the deaths of both Afghans & Americans too, not to mention the allowing of the Taliban to have billions of $ worth of arms & equipment.
If you think that was the 'right thing' you must be living in dreamland.

Perhaps Biden had to have the troops and personnel out pronto as part of the deal. The deal done via his son during the "election campaign". The Chinese will need Kabul airport to get the machinery and weaponry in when the rare earth mining operations begin. Have a look at the map. There is not another airstrip like it for hundreds of god forsaken miles. The Israelis are non too pleased either. If one Iranian or Pakistani aircraft launches from Kabul to attack Israel they will raze the place and render it unfit to use for years. Not just the airstrip but the radar and flight control capabilities and power supplies. Milley the US general, would have been executed for treason in fairly recent times for some of his actions. This is the servant of America who constantly bad mouthed Trump his CiC when he was in office and admitted he'd promised to warn the Chinese if there were any plans to launch against them. McKenzie was hailing the botched skedaddle as a triumph only a few weeks ago. Why would he do that if he had wanted a troop presence there? Both these creeps and Austin are now looking to protect their future prospects of tapping into the US military budget and the billions of dollars slushing around in corruption and graft. They know that they can say that they told sleepy Joe to hang fire because they know that he sure as hell can barely remember what he had for breakfast never mind what someone told him a few months ago. Rats in a sack all of em.
Their defence secretary did not hold back either yesterday
He admitted mistakes were made but did not hold back on the Afghans either
As he said nobody saw their army literally disappearing into thin air so quickly and the President made baffling personnel changes on a regular basis
Coalition troops gave them a shot at the democracy they wanted for 20 years
Not our fault they lacked the cojones to fight off the Taliban
Biden rightly decided the place was not worth any more US soldier’s lives and the Taliban were rigid on the withdrawal timings too
He did the right thing in my book

If they are then they are looking for better distribution links. Mansoor Ahmad Khan, Pakistan’s ambassador to Afghanistan, has held talks with Taliban leaders in recent days in the hopes of expanding China’s Belt and Road Initiative projects in Pakistan to neighbouring Afghanistan. He also said “Regional connectivity is an important element of our discussion with Afghan leadership and our way forward for our economic interaction with Afghanistan.” Kabul airport is key to this new and exciting development. Did you know that the runway is now graded high enough to withstand the heaviest aircraft that are currently airborne fully laden, and long enough for the most advanced military aircraft in the World to land and take off. It is also equipped with the most up to date satellite communication and radar installations. All paid for by the Western taxpayer. That means you as well. All handed over to hide the deals done with Biden's drug addicted son.
