Roadman, I would... but I can't post 27 years of research. I'm purely asking, out of interest, why mushrooms are more dangerous?

I've been smoking spliffs since 1979. I've never gone onto anything stronger, and am not addicted in any way. I smoke it now for pain control. My sis had magic mushrooms in Hong Kong and ended up in the restaurant rest room screaming she was covered in spiders. Go figure.................

Im not sure on the long term affects of magic mushrooms i guess that is why they are going to decriminalise so they can study but generally weed is legal in america mushrooms are not and psychedelic can be dangerous people think they can fly why they test off a building and not the curb i do not know

APG, you can't really 'go figure' from anecdotal evidence like that. I smoked for about 30 years and for half of that time it was home-grown (not skunk-type super potency stuff) and eventually stopped so that I could be a bit more forceful and focussed in the post I was promoted to. No problem stopping (i.e. no physical dependency symptoms) unlike tobacco, which I am still enslaved to, and alcohol, which I am possibly physically enslaved to (although it's hard to know whether it is physical or psychological). The worst thing about the home-grown was that it seemed there was more tar and coughing than with tobacco.
But, that's one person's experience, and proves nothing except that it takes all sorts.

Athiest -the 'go figure' was in regard to the magic mushrooms not weed. Basically, you have no idea what is going to happen to you using mushrooms. I 'grow my own' weed but have never wanted to try mushrooms despite the fact they grow in abundance around here. Perhaps, like CBD, they can remove the psychedelic part of the mushroom it maybe of use medically who knows.

Auntpg i think that part of the magic mushroom benefit is the psychological state they put you in whilst youre on them so when you are off them you can reflect unlike with cannabis thre is thc cbd cbn etc etc but with mushrooms its just psilocybin
