Just back from doing a weekly shop and have to say all the shelves are well stocked and could not see any large spaces. No massive queues at the fuel pumps either. Think all that might change next week when it is half-term.
I noticed that some of the prices seem to be a little higher - not a lot - but no lack of anything. I think it must in areas where people are panic buying ie large towns whereas those in more smaller communities are more restrained.
I've seen 'empty' shelves...but I think is just rearranging for Christmas, not shortages.
There are a few items that have disappeared...fresh chicken livers, and vegetable crisps. Are they considered unnecessary? I got livers in the butchers and joked that they are being used for pate...
Of course there are no gaps on shelves, they just fill them up with grab-bags of Doritos and tubs of assorted sweets, whatever the location or aisle. :-)
