For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.During the easter storm of 1981, we abandoned our campsite and retreated to another remote pub, the Hill Inn above Ingleton, and were promptly snowed in. the pub had no power and because it was the end of the week, we had no money left. nevertheless with the connivance of the landlord we knocked up a meal for everyone and had a few sherbets to wash it down. the snowplough got to us the next day, but the snowdrifts were higher than 3m tall. happy days.
