Dreading Nicola Announcement Today

Nicola is making an announcement today, announcing more restrictions for Scotland I am totally dreading it. She is keeping everyone waiting like a sword of damocles hanging over our head. My parents are having a diamond wedding party on Saturday with 20 guests. I am supposed to be having a 50th Birthday party on 8th January with 24 guests both in hospitality venues mine in the evening and my parents party in the afternoon. Do you think she is going to restrict hospitality again?

Hard to say - you may just be under her threshold.....a limitation on numbers but I don't think she could risk closing businesses.

i hope she doesn't take this draconian step for everyone's sake. Because as sure as anything Boris will follow suit. I am due to be away next week for Christmas.

People in Scotland seem to be in awe of her, she almost has a cult like following. Personally I hate her. It should be the same rules for all of the UK. Devolution was OK under Labour now its been taken over by Nationilism which Is always a disaster

You'd be mumping if the UK government wanted to impose tighter restrictions upon Scotland than the Scots Government.

You'd be mumping if each local authority in the UK had the same restrictions, regardless of the severity of infections or deaths within them.

I don’t think venues will be shut down at Christmas.
But sometime in the new year is entirely probable.

you don't mind cancer patients treatment being sidelined in favour of dishing out booster jabs that may or may not cause medical problems of their own, You don't care that lockdowns have a detrimental affect on businesses and people's mental heath which is already fragile from the last two years.
