Why can we not prevent people from having children when they live in deprived or disaster areas? Ever since I was at junior school there have been appeals for starving children yet they are still being born - the latest humanitarian crisis is in Afghanistan yet you would think their people are intelligent enough to not keep having more children when they can't afford to feed them.

America wanted to punish someone for the Twin Towers.
Apart from the cheap supply of opium, which is used in many drugs we purchase from pharmaceutical companies, maybe, just maybe, these supposedly backward countries should be left alone to run their own country.
Asking for a friend

1ozzy - yes we should leave them to it. Time for us to stop interfering.

Should not need to be compulsory - any mother would surely want to prevent it if given the opportunity//

Do you really believe the females in these countries have any say in how their lives are run ?
no they don't. ^
Quite Bazile. See my post at 23:06 Wed.
They have to move out of the new desert areas - or DDDIIIIIEEEE!
they cant stay and live

and oh have you noticed - they are moving North to the north africa coast. - south sudan I notice is starving - having spent the last ten years in civil war ( we and the egyptians were kicked out 1956 ) and not growing food
lankeela - retort: well the girls run THIS site dont they?
emmie; Before suggesting we leave the Afghans to their fate, please read this. Thank you.

daughters for sale and no Tommies dead
very satisfactory

we tried the other way - not worffa Tommy's life ( or a grunt's)
oo-ja!
That's nothing new, Khandro.
The compassion oozing out of AB is very moving
I love the idea of someone shoots at you and misses(*)
and you say - "I forgive you- I am gonna stay in this sand blown hell"

and girls going to skool or not? I really dont care - they had a choice and have to live with it

Taliban actually thought that they would take power and the aid would continue to pour in - so they could pocket it!

(*) yeah if they hit the target - bit of a short post really
Khandro, your sarcasm adds nothing to the discussion. If you are suggesting a return to Afghanistan will somehow change the culture it won’t.
Khandro both parts of the answer are useful

when you have had a beating - dont go back for another one
Taliban correctly said: we have defeated the Americans

what I cant understand is that all afghanistan knew what was gonna happen, and did diddly squat about preventing it
( as happened in the first American defeat in Vietnam)
and a million people then try to leave the country
afghan man are either fickle or cowards, probably both as they were trained and armed by world superpowers, the west tried to help.
notice not one muslim country tried to help there fellow muslims
so much for camaraderie amongst muslims, however they did help the taliban though, and these are countries that the west arms and buys oil from...you couldnt make it up.
PP //when you have had a beating - dont go back for another one

I have said nothing about going back fighting, read the Spectator article above, it's a humanitarian issue.
Khandro, what do you suggest we do?
