My firm has asked us to upload evidence of our vaccinations but they haven't threatened to fire anyone who does not. That may come later I guess.

the answer is yes: Hep B for medical staff.

Current employees - depends on their contract
current view ( coz I changed it in 2000) is that persuasion is all, and compulsion should not be used - transferrng them to areas they wont be involved in patient contact ( Hep B)

Govt bringing for legislation which will allow dismissal after the usual march thro the differing roles and jobs.

I would have thought they would make sure they are on solid legal ground before they fired an employee .

Then again they may fire an employee just to test the law

Naomi 10:55. I'm conflicted I think it's harsh but employers need to protect all their employees so I get it. I think I'd like to see them interviewed first to determine their reasoning. Fire the loony tunes ones by all means.

classic lose-lose situation - no employer wd think of that as the only outcome from enforcing vacca - is an on-cost on expenses

send out letter - check send out - check answers-cross check answers- compile data base - - - all cost/expense with no profit in view

PP, as far as I'm aware, unlike the Covid vax, the Hep B vaccine prevents people from contracting the illness and hence from transmitting it to others so that isn't a valid comparison. The vaccinated can still contract and carry Covid.

yes, most of the vaccinated tend to not get sick and therefore do not spread it and the time they have it is shorter. It's spread by coughing etc.

They might not get sick but they're still carrying the virus. I could understand this if it prevented the disease - but it doesn't. It just makes the vaccinated safer from it and from its effects.

Vaccinated people do not spread it anything like a non vaccinated person.

Exactly, TTT. It protects the individual but it doesn't stop that individual infecting others.
