...I'm no expert on US law but can you fire someone for not agreeing to a medical procedure? Expect some law suits to start flying.

the answer is yes: Hep B for medical staff.
You can insist they have it before employ
are we really discussing this as a 'new thing' ?
Current employees - depends on their contract
current view ( coz I changed it in 2000) is that persuasion is all, and compulsion should not be used - transferrng them to areas they wont be involved in patient contact ( Hep B)
Govt bringing for legislation which will allow dismissal after the usual march thro the differing roles and jobs.
But we really knew all that - - didnt we?
[Mainstream AB - you ask a question that you say you dont know the asnwer to, and as the answers 'pour' in, say triumphantly, 'I knew all dat!"]

after two years and 150 000 deaths
the idea of freedom for all for everything is drifting away from
"People have if they want, a freedom to infect and kill old people"
In the down market area I live - newton heath - queues outside the surgeries for boosters....
The common man has already thought ( sozza fort)
one billion doses and 13 deaths
or ten million infections and 150 000 deaths
I know which group I wanna be in!

From your link,
"The US Occupational Safety and Health Administration has told all employers with 100 or more staff that they must make sure each of their workers is either vaccinated or tested for Covid-19 once a week - a move that Google has indicated would cover almost all roles at the company.
That was due to come into effect on 4 January, but was quickly challenged in court, and has been suspended pending a court ruling."

I dont like the sound of that
so what ?
its been done before - - evidence of Hap B vacca in the health service
2000 - I changed the rules....MD deemed I hadnt been when I had. and was gonna breach my confidentiality.... oo-er! doctors running for foxholes on that one! Hence the stress on persuasion.....
year 2000 that is!
care staff DON'T have a right to infect others..... simples

// Then again they may fire an employee just to test the law// bz
yikes you clearly havent run a business
classic lose-lose situation - no employer wd think of that as the only outcome from enforcing vacca - is an on-cost on expenses
send out letter - check send out - check answers-cross check answers- compile data base - - - all cost/expense with no profit in view
come one boys turn your braynz on

asking why someone isnt vacca'd doesnt protect anyone

give the loony tunes their cards, and shout - it is lucky I am not sruffing lighted cocktails sticks under your nails!

Naomi: "They might not get sick but they're still carrying the virus." - it is spread mostly by coughing and sneezing, most of the vaccinated don't even know they have it for the day or two it takes the immune system to eradicate it. Vaccinated people do not spread it anything like a non vaccinated person.
"I could understand this if it prevented the disease - but it doesn't. It just makes the vaccinated safer from it and from its effects. " - no vaccination prevents the disease it merely arms the body's immune system to fight it off, that's how they work.
