Agreed. MPs can have maternity leave/maternity allowance so take it. Then if you want to come back to work, put your child in a nursery. Where i work, you have to have security clearance, and id be amazed if its not the same for HOC chamber. How does a baby get that?

He's wrong - the whole place has become a laughing stock.
(Commons & Lords)
Ridiculous, having a baby in the company of port-sodden, braying oafs can't be good for healthy development.

Mind you it might raise the level of debate a bit.
You might have missed this post by our esteemed member ToraToraTora. It appears that you share many of his views.... :o)

Can you imagine six or seven babies in the chamber? One starts yelling, then they all start? Well I suppose nothing changes!
I don't see why I shouldn't have a baby with me when I'm driving my lorry.
I was just reminiscing about new mothers bring their issue in for all to ooh, ahh and generally go weak at the knees over.

The women were just as bad.
TTTLite ?
A good half of the Commons are full of children already
...........................The Tory half..,...

It would be a busy HOC if Boris brought his children to work .lol.
screaming sprogs... but say nowt don't want to upset the baby brigade
babys belong in a creche or at home, not in a debating chamber.
i magine nipple breaks...
There is no need to, they will have access to child care. All it is is attention seekers trying to prove a point.
Why Can't they leave their children in the care of Carrie, while they are in the Commons ...She is good at child minding She has to look after Boris.
I am not an MP
No child deserves - Carrie - not even Boris' kids
oh sozza, sozza
THAT carrie.....
Taking babies into the H of C, Why not? Babies' diapers are usually full of ****, and so are MP's.
can we TRY to keep this thread serious please
this is a serious subject
Why can't the baby be kept in its mothers office and not brought into the chamber
The HoC has a secure care park. Why can’t the sprog be stowed in the cars’ glovebox for 8 hours ? (Well no one else is answering the question seriously.
A commons full of dozing creatures who wake up crying when they're either hungry or have soiled themselves?

Sometimes these jokes write themselves.
