If you "seek asylum" you are by definition an "asylum seeker".

Whether your case has any merit is of course up to the authorities to decide.
The fact that there is deception is hardly news. The problem in general is checking people;s identity and country of origin.

I suspect this is what they are told to say by the traffickers. As pointed out above if you are a child then we will treat you better and in some ways that is correct. Problem is these are clearly not children and you dont need to be Einstein to work it out.

My issue with it is that genuine Asylum seekers are now lumped in with these lying chancers. Anyone found lying like that it should be next plane out.

If only they put the same money, time and effort into stopping them coming here in the first place. 28,000 illegal immigrants claiming asylum costs the country hundreds of £millions.
Not sure what the point is of verifying their age once they are here, or how accurate the technique is, but this is just Priti Patel trying to look like she is doing something too little too late).
