He needs a visa for here, I believe.....
Who is “our own rogue”? (Ok I guess - sigh: I assume you are not advocating deportation for the PM

Djokovic is hardly a “rogue” whatever ever else he may be but I suppose this is not the time for measured language
he will be scrutinised by other countries now for sure..better stay squeeeeeeeeky clean Mr D !
I know that Em.
The former foreign minister of Australia claimed yesterday that Australia had not objected to Djokovic entering the country but the lei men had been that he refused to quarantine.
That didn’t sound like what had been reported before - just about anywhere
The “problem” had been
they will be confirming their terms of rejection later.. possibly on a few grounds.. notwithstanding he told blatant lies on visa form and flaunted isolation endangering inter alios children !!
In your opinion.
I don't think even Australia is claiming he was a danger to children!

I have no real problem with Djokovic being deported as the Austalians can do as they please, but there is a lot of nonsense around this and I would take a lot of convincing that this is a massive screw-up by the goverment and Tennis Australia. There are two extreme positions coming into conflict here.
Doh! That this is NOT a ...
Such glee from the usual suspects.
Yes it is a bit odd all this: there are two sets of flag wavers: the Serbian "freedom lovers" and their hangers-on and the "we hate Djokovic" lot. All very sad.
I don't blame Australia for trying to keep the virus out of their country, and they do have a proud record of comparatively few deaths, greatly aided by their geographical position of course.
T|here are down sides to their policy though, which are more extreme examples of dilemmas over governments have faced: firstly, that ultimately you would think that the virus will "win" as it is so infectious, and the downside of low Covid rates is low natural immunity: when will it become endemic, rather than the "enemy wiihout"
The other of course, which surely is the issue here: when you impose draconian measures on your own people then anything which appears to make an exception does not go down well - I won't add "at election time" - though I could :-)
Ich, there are those on this thread whose dislike (almost said hatred - but surely not?) of the Djokerman has been well advertised long before all this palaver took place.
For the record, i do think his deportation is the correct measure given Australia's rules on Covid. But i also believe that he was given every encouragement to enter the country by Tennis Australia who, it seems, gave him misinformation. 6 of one, 1/2 a dozen of the other, in my most humble of opinions, of course.
The correct decision has been made
Made his case all the more difficult with vague details of his actions and whereabouts after a positive test when he should have been isolating
Blamed one his staff for false information on his documentation
Not really very sporting behaviour of a champion is it ?

He has accepted the decision
Others must too or stop making excuses for his behaviour
A little Latin is a dangerous thing.
No vaccine, no visa, no victory.
