that the drinks party was against the rules

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-60039868

This has a breaking news headline banner on the bbc

This is a direct rebuttal to Dominic Cummings claims
2 Downinf Street officials back Cummings saying that he had to Boris as much but Boris waved it aside

Why such a headline from the bbc ? Is the death knell sounding for Boris ?

** to tell Boris
Our Prime Minister can't tell what a drinks party is and whether he's breaking the rules he apparently set. Next we'll find out somebody has to do his tie up for him.
Boris should not have needed telling, he should have known the rules.
Boris is the person responsible for making the rules; he should be telling others that such events are illegal.
It’s simply a question of who you believe.

If Cummings is telling the truth and is proved to have been (maybe a big “if” I don’t know) then Johnson has plainly had it
The problem is, both Johnson and Cummings are liars:-(
Does Cummings have a track record of deceit?
I genuinely don’t know
There goes Boris again
It wasn’t me it was him/her.
Ok Barnard springs to mind.
At least, it’s a hard one to credit :-)

n his blog, Mr Cummings, who was still working in Downing Street at the time of the drinks party on 20 May 2020, said he would swear on oath that he warned the prime minister it would be a rule-breaking event.
He claimed the PM had waved aside his warnings at the time.
Two other former Downing Street officials told the BBC they remembered Mr Cummings telling them on that day he had advised the prime minister not to allow the drinks to go ahead.
Asked about Mr Cummings' claims on a visit to a North London hospital, Mr Johnson said: "I can tell you categorically that nobody said that this was something that was against the rules, that was in breach of the Covid rules."

One a disgruntled ex employee
One a pathological liar

Wonder who Sue Gray will believe ?
Neither if it’s a proper enquiry
She would presumably look for corroboration of whatever sort
If I was employed at Downing Street, I'd be really careful not to lay myself open to even a hint that I might be accused of breaking the rules my employers are creating, and enforcing.

If I was the PM you could stick a couple of zeros on that.
I'm beginning to think that Boris under his "always blame somebody else" rule, unjustly sacked Cummins and Cummins is now able to get his revenge.

Why did he attend then?
^^ No answer for Tescos then:0)
Did anyone tell him he was now PM?
Tescos?

Are you referring to BJ or implying that DC attended too ?
