Such A Brave Lady..

When will it ever stop?..
A local single mum taking her beloved dog for his usual walk yesterday, was approached by a man who was also walking a dog. Tried to snatch her dog by pulling on his lead. Woman held onto him for dear life, but not before he punched her in the face , knocked down and dragged along the ground. Bless her, she would not let go of his lead. The man gave up and ran away. She gave police a description. I doubt they'll find him. She did say he had an accent.
She is such a lovely young woman with two daughters. Needless to say, she is very shook up. At least she still has her dog. Terrible for her..

What she went through was terrible enough without the loss of the family pet. Another day someone might have intervened or even given chase. Hopefully someone may have door bell footage or other cctv. Her story will be a salutary lesson to others. Bet the "assailant" (not what I want to call him) would not have tried it on with a fit male.

Stickybottle, the description of a person includes many factors such as: male, female, tall, short, bald, facial-hair, clothing, white, black, brown, accent, fat, thin, etc. etc. All combined they add up to, well...a description.
——-
Indeed they do
But there is a description
Then there is a detailed description
But when accent is mentioned it becomes a major factor
Are we talking Glaswegian or Essex ?
You mentioned facial hair
Was it a beard ?
A moustache ?
What colour ?
Mentioning a single item means nothing
We all have those characteristics you mention to one degree or another so the more detail the better
No ?

cashier, I know what you mean, I wondered that too. I imagined the dog was a smaller, placid type, possibly. It may have been dog-snatching to order, say cockerpoo size?
I guess the woman had her eyes closed for at least part of the attack, so an audible description may have been useful to the police. She is going to take time to get over this assault and I, too, hope she has the help and support of many.
