Raducanu stalker convicted.

I've always thought there was something sinister about celebrity worship.

But the line between innocent admiration and criminal stalking could become a bit of a grey area. Not that I'm suggesting that this case is illustrating anything but completely unacceptable behaviour. This guy's letters went well beyond fan-mail.

And the John Lennon and Jill Dando cases show how dangerous it can become.

But where to draw the line could surely become contentious on occasion.

Who says Jill Dando was killed by a stalker? I personally think it was an execution ... and no I do not think Barry George was guilty.

How scary for her.
Glad he's been caught.
I didn't know that both JL and JD were stalked. Is that right?
Question Author
JL was stalked, JD I'm not so sure. But the point I was trying to make was the danger of celebrity worship getting out of hand, not specifically stalking. Sorry I didn't make that clear.

And thank you Patsy for a straightforward response instead of picking petty holes in my posts.
I dont know is the simple answer Canary.

That is always the problem with this sort of thing, where is the line between fanatic admiration and where it becomes criminal.
