i dont know about you, but relying on batteries to replace all things petrol and diesel
is barmy, all i foresee is mountains of poisonous waste erm the ones we know about, and not ones where people throw batteries in there black bag waste.

"black bag waste" means nothing to a lot of people...me included.
Our council recycles any used batteries that are left out.
At least we would get rid of the infernal noise, and exhaust fumes drifting over from next door.
Bring it on.

im rather fond of petrol mowers as they get the job done, i suppose gold course will retrofit there petrol mowers to batteries, as for farmers and all there diesel and petrol equiptment? thye will need a lot of batteries or an extension cable running from there houses.
Indeed. I can imagine the relatively small proportion of people using petrol lawn mowers are adding hugely to whatever environmental problems are said to exist. Meanwhile, China continues to burn more coal than all the rest of the world put together and we are in the process of bankrupting the country, destroying its businesses and impoverishing its citizens to reduce our emissions to "Net Zero" (however you define that ridiculous term).
what a load of old pony, I have a v8 turbo lawn mower and it does the job great!
Did anyone bother to read the article?

They are not banning you using your petrol mowers that you already own. They want to ban the sale of new mowers from 2025.
Petrol and diesel new cars will be banned from sale in 2030.

Gromit, what if i want to buy one after that date, 0 carbon = more unemployed more poverty more division, and a lot of angry people
who will erm find other ways of providing for themselves, better build more prisons.
So it will lead to riots and anarchy?
Must be nonsense. Many folk have a car, very few have garden tools that run by fossil fuels, and those that do don't use them for hours each day. Is it April 1st already ? February & March shot past !
Absolute insanity. The amount of pollution a few petrol mowers is miniscule, not even worth considering. I despair.
You wouldn't think that when my neighbour is cutting his grass or using his petrol hedge trimmer.
More old pony driven by the PM and her husband no doubt.
