It seems like a lot of attention is being given to individual countries and governments in their handling of the pandemic - what one might call the classic divide and conquer strategy. Do you think China will ever be held accountable for the havoc it has wreaked on peoples lives for the past two years?

there doesn't seem to be much evidence that it was done deliberately; if it was accidental, then China is no more responsible for spreading it than any other country is. Britain at least had warning, which China did not, but it chose to dither a while and let the virus in.
No.
The whole of the world errrrrm dithered then, jno.
most of them did, tonyav. I'm not sure I trust China's own figures but there's no doubt they had a harsh crackdown in response to the virus. But Japan, a country similar in size and population to the UK, acted quicker and had far fewer deaths. Same for Australia and New Zealand, they imposed lockdowns almost immediately.

NZ's "excess death figure" (according to Private Eye) is minus 53. In other words, it's an excess survival figure: because of Covid, people are actually living longer. Isolation, tests and treatment mean other viruses stop spreading too.
127 million and 67 million are similar populations?

Of course China is more responsible than other countries.
Jno, I beg you to leave this country and spend all day criticising it from elsewhere.
Tomas, he isn't criticising the UK, he's praising other countries.
Lol Tomus42, got your union jack boxer shorts on?

Well said tomus.

I blame China 100% whether they started it deliberately or not !
China good, Britain bad. Well am I surprised you wrote that jno? NO. Perhaps China would welcome someone with your views on the country in which you currently reside even though you claim not to be British.

To answer the OP, there has been quite a bit in the press. Canary has given a few but others have covered it too.

jno did not write that.

'Crimson Contagion'(A large-scale outbreak of a novel avian influenza [H7N9] originates in China, but quickly spreads around the world and to the continental U.S.)
and 'Exercise Cygnus' were both taxpayer money down the drain.

A bioweapon into China? - well that's just 'moonshot'.
Well am I surprised you wrote that jno

no, just blind or otherwise incapacitated: I didn't write that. I specifically said I doubted Chinese statistics; I trust Britain's. Does that surprise you?

As to whether Britain's response was prompt or effective, please give the world your opinion.
