Russia already borders NATO Khandro.
Winston Churchill’s official biographer, Sir Martin Gilbert, speaking of this quote, noted that Churchill actually said, ‘Meeting jaw to jaw is better than war.’ Four years later, during a visit to Australia, Harold Macmillan said the words usually—and wrongly—attributed to Churchill: “Jaw, jaw is better than war, war.” Credit: Harold Macmillan.

You don't say! I think Putin knows that too.

Also Russia is within NATO countries, have you ever heard of Kaliningrad?
Yes it was MacMillan
Whether a misquote of Churchill or a coincidence who knows ...
Ever thought of a job on Russian tv khandro.

Or with George Galloway on RT peut-etre
This business of "red lines" etc intrigues me.

If Ukraine joining NATO is a "red line" for Russia, that implies they will or indeed can prevent it.
The thing is, they cannot, not without taking a step which surely Putin knows is a step too far.
If there is no intention or possibility of invasion, then why speak of "time running out". "Time running out" until what?

Today in the Russian parliament, by the way, the Duma is going to "ask the Kremlin" to recognise the two gangster paradises known as the Donetsk and Luhansk "people's republics" as independent states.
All a piece of choreographed nonsense, as the Duma is effectively the Kremlin's wagging tail.
It will be interesting to see what comes of this.

And there we go, anyone trying to see both sides is suddenly a supporter of Russia, just the same accusations made agains t Trump when he spoke to Putin. I think you are far to emotionally involved to make judgement on others.

Who can trust the West of the 'Dodgy dossier'? And Putin is far from mad, that is why we should be wary of him.
“ anyone trying to see both sides is suddenly a supporter of Russia”

Lol
Who that then?
I haven’t spotted any evidence of khandro trying to “see both sides”
That’s up to him of course.
He’s free to give his views, as am I
Why do you think I’m “emotionally involved” (!)
Are NATO, the UK government, the US government, Japan, Canada etc etc “emotionally involved” ?

Bizarre …

ichi: I think I do see both sides - very well! but you, as always see only one, & your avatar - the combined Ukrainian/EU flag lets us know which side that is & what your aspirations are.
Excerpt from the Sky News headline :

Ukraine latest as Boris Johnson says intelligence is "not encouraging";
———
Was he referring to himself ? Lol
What strikes me sticky is how open they’ve been with a lot of the intelligence in fact, all along. That has to be a deliberate policy.
And there’s the PM casually tossing about place names like Kherson, Sevastopol etc!
Although I’m obviously not with him on a lot of things, like all right-thinking people I’m right behind him on this
Pat:
When one’s husband (NOT yours I hasten to add!!) comes home late with lipstick on his collar and mumbles something about working late at the lipstick factory and shuffled up to bed blushing that’s lies.
When he looks you in the lie and says with a wink and a grin: “But I’ve been here all the time!”
That’s vranyo :-)
I think that is very unlikely.
However the point surely is that they have it all ready to go and no matter what they say the pieces are all in place.
It amuses me when people talk about “NATO advancing eastwards” as if it were some sort of fungus. Farage has just been wittering on in this vein on GBN.
There were cyber attacks on at least one Ukrainian govt ministry today
Apparently the forces 'pulling back' are some irrelevant ones in Crimea.
The more worrying ones are still in position and being reinforced.
Well I think they were actually in the south western military districts.
Land forces in Crimea would indeed be pretty useless as an invasion force
