The Tories have asked the Met Police.
Not to publish any Partygate investigation photographs.
...... And why not !.
Is this another case of one law for Boris and his Cronies and another law for ....Joe Public.?

The Met's policy has always been not to publicise the identities of people who are issued with Fixed Penalty Notices. They have now simply been asked not to do so by proxy (i.e. by publishing photographs of such people).

No.
They were private parties (out of work time) and in private property. So they are protected under the data protection act and copyright of the person who took the snap.
Sue Gray might well have described the scene in her report, and there is no reason why the Met Police cannot do the same. But the pictures are private between individuals, and ca only be released with their consent.

Much as I would love to see them.

I can't see any objection to publishing photos of work meetings - surely people want their constituents to know how long and hard the government is labouring on their behalf?

I would imagine the benefit will be to see
A. Just how many parties there were when the government claimed there were none and

B. Just how many of the guidelines were actually followed like Bozo claimed they were ?

After all a picture in this instance will tell a thousand words ! Lol

Photographs can be useful to an investigation but that does not mean they could or should be made public. Some photos have been leaked and were revealing and helpful to the inquiry.

For example, the Police were not going to investigate a Quiz in which Johnson participated after being told it was individuals over Zoom. Then Cummings leaked a photo which showed a group of people and opened booze being consumed, and then that event became part of the investigation.
