Russian Financial Sanctions

Boris Johnson has announced a range of financial sanctions, including freezing bank accounts etc. But they have failed to announce the sanction that would hurt them the most – and that is to outlaw the donation of Russian money to the Tory party (that would show Putin we really mean business).

The EU is to sanction Putin himself and Lavrov.

Interestingly Ukraine had originally withdrawn as their chosen act had been to Crimea, a crime in Ukraine.
But they replaced her yesterday with the act that had come second

Sanctions won't matter when the MAD principle is applied and we all become toast. Russia will accuse NATO of provocation and planning an invasion of Ukraine as troops gather on the border with Europe.
