I don’t like this buying a seat business. Look at Lance Stroll, he has routinely been beaten by his teammates. I know it’s a bit of a romantic view, but I think drivers should get seats through talent alone, but unfortunately money talks.

Hamilton is the greatest F1 driver of all time, he came from nothing, and got to be the best on sheer talent.

Indeed Hamilton's talent was evident from his karting days , when his father took several jobs to be able to fulfill his ambition .

It shouldn't be forgotten that he almost won the title in his rookie season .
If only McClaren hadn't left him out for too long on worn tyres causing him to lose it in the pit lane entrance

F1 is currently in a mess. The Russian saga will merely add to it's woes. All I hope is that whoever finally prevails it will have been by skill, a good team, a bit of luck and NO bending or abandonment of rules by stupid officials. I repeat, may the best driver prevail.
